Waitlist & Future Litters
Not every family finds the right Maine Coon kitten immediately, and that’s okay. At Giant Coonies Ohio, we keep our program intentional and do not breed on a constant schedule. Because of that, availability can change, and many families choose to plan ahead.
Our waitlist exists to help families stay informed about future litters without pressure or obligation.
How Our Waitlist Works
Our waitlist is designed for families who are serious about adopting but flexible on timing. Joining the waitlist allows us to understand what you’re looking for and contact you when upcoming kittens may be a good match.
Joining the waitlist does not guarantee a specific kitten, color, or timeframe. Instead, it keeps communication open and expectations clear while we plan responsibly.Who the Waitlist Is For
Our waitlist is a good fit if:
- You’re planning ahead rather than rushing
- You’re flexible on exact timing
- You value health, temperament, and ethical placement
- You want guidance from a real breeder, not a sales process
If you need a kitten immediately or require guarantees on color or size, waiting may not be the right option.
What We Ask From Waitlist Families
When joining the waitlist, we ask families to share a bit about themselves so we can guide them honestly.
Helpful details include:
- Your general adoption timeframe
- Preferences (color, sex, delivery or pickup)
- Household details (pets, children, lifestyle)
- Any questions you already have
This information helps us suggest kittens thoughtfully rather than assigning names from a list.
Deposits & the Waitlist
A $200 deposit is required to join the waitlist. This deposit confirms serious interest and allows us to plan future placements responsibly.
Deposits are only requested once:
- A kitten is available or upcoming
- A potential match is discussed together
- You decide you’d like to move forward
Once a match is confirmed, the $200 waitlist deposit is applied toward the final adoption price. When a specific kitten is selected, the remaining balance of the $400 total reservation deposit is completed to secure that kitten.
We explain all deposit details clearly before payment so expectations remain aligned.
Timing & Availability
Litter timing varies, and we do not rush breeding schedules. Some families may be contacted quickly, while others may wait longer depending on preferences and availability.
We believe this approach is more honest than promising timelines we can’t guarantee.Communication & Updates
We do our best to stay in touch as plans develop. Families on the waitlist are welcome to check in, and we will reach out when kittens become available that may fit their preferences.
We value clear communication, but we also encourage patience, as responsible breeding takes time.Pickup & Delivery
Families on the waitlist may choose:
- Pickup by appointment in Bedford
- Delivery within Ohio or to other states (distance-based fee)
All logistics are discussed in advance once a match is confirmed.
